At thekkady ,Tree top hotel the services and the staff were wonderful and praiseworthy.
Elephant rides ,boat rides ,Jeep Safari Kathakali, Kalari were fantabulous. At Alleppey, the lovely houseboat experience with delicious meals three times a day and the soothing lake surrounding us was a delightful experience. Athirapally waterfalls was pleasant at Bethania Resorts with awesome view.Time spent at Cochin's fort kochi, jew town, Saint Basilica Church ,thrikkakara vamana moorthy temple and Chotanikara temples was worth it.

Colonel along with his better-half Mrs Usha are welcoming, cordial & consider you no less than a family member. Colonel's home-stay has sufficient trained staff who leaves no stone unturned to keep you comfortable. This home stay is a peaceful, serene, neat & clean place.  Sufficient parking space along with a well kept garden is another highlight of home-stay. I would definitely recommend Colonel's Home-stay & looking forward to our next visit to the scenic state of Kerala.

Gilroy and his wife Mrs. Usha were very welcoming, homely and cordial. The place is very well kept, feels serene and comfy just like a home. We stayed at the Angel house on the First floor which is 2BHK, fully furnished. Most of the daily requirements are available nearby. Recommended.

this last time i have to say colonel was no longer a host, he was family, inspite of the covid pandemic he took care of us and made us not feel any discomfort at all

he provided us with all we needed guided us through the processes of safety for the entire time

In Oct 2018, my wife had shoulder surgery at... read more the Lakeshore hospital and she needed to return after a month, for her follow-up and physiotherapy. Since she would be returning alone, security was a concern. We didn’t want her to be staying alone at a hotel and commuting back and forth to the hospital. As we were exploring our options, one of the officers at the Admissions Office at the Hospital mentioned the Colonel’s Home Stay. He advised us to stay there as he was aware of the security and conveniences provided at the Colonel’s Home Stay. We visited Colonel and Usha Aunty, chatted for a long time, and were very happy with what we saw.
Esther stayed with them from the 27th of November till the 14th of December. The place was warm and homely and Esther felt absolutely safe. Colonel and Usha aunty were helpful and caring and treated her like family.
Usha Aunty’s mother – Ammachi, was an added bonus, providing my wife with wholesome breakfasts before she headed off to the hospital for the physiotherapy sessions.
Colonel’s and Usha Aunty’s kindness and helpfulness specially came through on the day that Esther had to travel back to Bangalore. A general strike had been called for that day. We didn’t know what to do. But Colonel arranged for a taxi to pick Esther up, early morning, and take her to the airport before the strike began at 6 am. He kept in touch with her till he was sure that Esther had reached Bangalore safely and communicated the same to me as well.

The place is on a side road from the main arterial road and so its quiet yet connected. The place itself looks very picturesque and is well maintained. We stayed there for 2 months and during that time we had no major issues. All the small maintenance work was immediately carried out and the colonel and his wife are extremely helpful and accommodating.

The apartment is also cleaned regularly and the staff can be asked to clean at your convenience for an additional pay. Car parking facility is available as well.

You can book trips and places through their travel desk also. Free wifi is a boon for travellers. The speed is good and we watched movies online without any issues.

All in all - we had a great stay there. Kudos to the colonel for making our stay in Kochi very memorable.
